USSA Sailing Counselor course prior to it being required adds $.50 to base rate
USSA Small Boat Instructor Level 1 prior to it being required adds $.50 to base rate

USSA Accelerated Safe Powerboat Handling Course and Race Support Course prior to it being required adds $.50 to base rate
Red Cross Lifeguard certification adds $.50 to base rate
Consecutive years in same category adds $.50 to base rate
Resume, sailing experience (a comprehensive resume including sailing and racing experience is highly recommended), work history, and other merit factors may also be considered

Other Requirements and Conditions
Instructor in Training experience is an important factor when considering Junior Instructor candidates
Participation and assistance at OCYC events is expected of all instructors
All instructors are expected to work a few days before program begins
College age instructors are expected to work a full week before program begins
High School age instructors are expected to work a full week after program ends
Additional pre and post-season hours for commissioning and decommissioning may be available at an adjusted rate
Full Time Salaried employees can have up to 3 unpaid personal days, prior approval of the commodore and head instructor is required
Adjustment to work schedule for Part time employees requires prior approval of the commodore and head instructor
The applicant must fill out applications personally
The applicant must handle all communications regarding the application and or employment personally
Certificates for all training requirements must be submitted annually with Application
