Other considerations
USSA Sailing Counselor certification prior to it being required adds $.50 to base rate
USSA Level One certification prior to it being required adds $.75 to base rate
USSA Level Two certification prior to it being required adds $.50 to base rate
USSA Safe Boaters certification prior to it being required adds $.50 to base rate
USSA Safety, Rescue and Race Support certification prior to it being required adds $.50 to base rate
Red Cross Lifeguard certification adds $1.00 to base rate
Consecutive years in same category adds $.75 to base rate
Resume, sailing experience, work history, and other merit factors may also be considered

Other Requirements and Conditions
Instructor in Training experience is an important factor when considering Junior Instructor candidates
J-24 racing or classes does not satisfy OCYC course enrollment requirements
Participation and assistance at OCYC events is expected of all instructors
All instructors should be available for “Open House” and Instructor meeting Memorial Day Weekend
All instructors are expected to work a few days before program begins
College age instructors are expected to work a full week before program begins
High School age instructors are expected to work a full week after program ends
Additional pre and post-season hours for commissioning and decommissioning may be available at an adjusted rate
Full Time Salaried employees receive 3 days flex time, prior approval of the commodore and head instructor are required
Adjustment to work schedule for Part time employees requires prior approval of the commodore and head instructor
